Land of More is the third episode of The Adventures of Paddy the Pelican, despite Paddy not making an appearance in the film at all. Conversely, the episode, for no discernible reason, features a random child as its protagonist.
Plot[]
The episode starts with a unnamed chubby little kid, who is apparently the friend of Paddy (and likely the only one) sitting around in his house with no parent figure in sight. He attempts to blow up a pitifully-sized balloon which seems to be his only means of a toy. He rambles on about how he was swindled by a man as the balloon was supposedly bigger when he bought it.
A gnome-wizard thing appears out of thin air cheesily after the kid wishes he had a bigger balloon. The gnome grants the kid's wish and makes the balloon bigger by reciting the words "Abra-cadabra, hocus pocus" or some crap. However the kid finds out that the balloon has grown too big to be enclosed inside his already small house, much to the child's panic. This is the first sign of the gnome's possible antagonism. Soon, the balloon smashes the house into pieces, and the child goes into a high-speed chase with the balloon. He grabs it as it starts to fly away, and gets carried by the balloon high intro the clouds. The episode should've ended there, but it's still going. Goddamnit!
Anyway, we see the kid vehemently grabbing onto the balloon, until a bird (likely one of Paddy's allies, who knows) pops it. The kid falls and lands in the magical Land of More while the gnome smugly watches as the kid lays on the ground unconcious. The Land of More features several locations of fantasy and idiocy, such as lollipop trees and cheesecake buildings. The kid wishes for a chocolate soda, but finds out it is too big to climb or drink out of. This happens a few times more, but with different objects to pad out the runtime. The kid then wishes for a giant gust of wind. That, along with a giant parachute brings him back to Earth, and the rubble that was formerly his house. He wishes for his house to be back to normal, and it predictably becomes so.
He throws away the so-called "magic" balloon. I guess there's a moral about enjoying what you have, but that sucks.
This would be all worthwhile if Paddy was here, but he's not, so that renders this episode pretty much pointless.
